Privacy Policy
Omic Pathways is a clinical education platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have about it. Last updated April 22, 2026.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email, clinical role or specialty (optional), and the password you choose. When you use the site, we log basic usage (pages viewed, courses started, lessons completed) so we can show you where you left off and so faculty can see which modules are working.
How we use it
Your information is used to operate the platform, authenticate you, deliver coursework, communicate with you about your account, and (with your consent) send periodic editorial updates. We do not sell personal information.
Legal basis
We process your information to perform our contract with you (operating the platform and delivering the courses you sign up for), to comply with our legal obligations, and with your consent for optional communications. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Third parties
Our learning backend is provided by Frappe. Transactional email is sent through a reputable provider. Analytics, if any, are aggregated and do not attempt to identify individual clinicians. A full list of processors is available on request at contact@omicpathways.com. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies and similar technologies
After you sign in, the server sets an httpOnly cookie named
op_sid that keeps you authenticated. This is essential to
the functioning of the site and cannot be disabled. Preference cookies
(for example, dark mode, notification settings) are first-party and
expire after one year. We use aggregate analytics cookies that do not
identify individual clinicians. We do not place advertising or
cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by the Frappe backend using a modern adaptive algorithm. Session cookies are httpOnly and, in production, flagged Secure and SameSite=Lax. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we treat protecting your account and your data as a core product concern.
Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile within thirty days, with limited exceptions for records we are legally required to retain (for example, billing records under applicable tax law) and for aggregated, de-identified usage data that no longer identifies you.
International transfers
Our infrastructure and processors may operate in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we rely on safeguards permitted by applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses) and apply consistent protections regardless of where the data is processed.
Children
The platform is intended for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us at contact@omicpathways.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will post the updated version here and notify registered members by email. The "last updated" date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
